Kester Lwin Reid
I am a naturalist and student of ancestral culture.
I mentor people into deeper relationship with the power and complexity of the natural world, through one-on-one mentoring, courses, workshops, and performance art. I'm a co-founder of Fianna Wilderness School, and this is where I offer programs for adults.

A central crisis of our time is our disconnection from natural systems. We become distanced from the devastating ecological impacts of our lives. But equally devastating is the other side of the coin: we lose access to perhaps the greatest resource we have known as a species - our relationship to landscape as our home and origin.

This sense of belonging, and the dynamic, embodied guidance we can receive from living out a true culture of reciprocity with the land, is what made us human. And the loss of this birthright is the greater crisis of our time, from which, perhaps, the other crises stem.

Land-based work involves a repatriation of our psyche to the land.

When we can re-orient to the primacy of the land, as kin to it, apprentices to its mysteries, we can recover the most natural part of ourselves - the part that knows exactly who we are, ancestrally, ecologically, and spiritually. This is the part that utterly belongs in the world, and carries the threads of our innate gifts: our offerings to this life.

My work draws on depth psychology, mythology, and the cultural traditions in which I have been raised and taught.

"Working with Kes has re-ignited a sense of spiritedness I have not experienced since I was a young boy.
Kes’ well-honed skills in bushcraft, song, and storytelling are not the focus; they support an experience of ease, facilitate encounters with mystery, and provoke curiosity and wonder.
Don’t struggle alone when there’s a guide like Kes to walk beside."
